The Black Love panel and workshop marked our inaugural co-educational event, centering on diverse topics ranging from family dynamics and resilience to effective healing modalities and communication within both romantic and platonic relationships. Subsequent to the panel discussion, our gathering of 80 participants convened in smaller groups for in-depth discussions.
During Thanksgiving 2023, we collaborated with the Men's Wellness Fellowship to organize our first annual holiday food drive, dedicated to providing sustenance to families in need within the Oakland community.
Dedicated volunteers spanning various age groups participated in organizing, packaging, and distributing a range of essentials, including frozen turkeys, dry goods, and hot meals.
BlackWomen& Sexual Health is the second installation of a health and wellness series in partnership with Sweet July focusing on topics that effect us as Black Women.
BlackWomen& Sexual Health is the first Installment of a health and wellness series in partnership with Sweet July. We brought together a panel of Black women from medical professionals and epidemiologists to therapists sex educators to discuss topics that effect us as Black Women and provide resources to our community.
Third Sundays is a marketplace created to spotlight Black female entrepreneurs and provide a space for us to relax, recharge, and reinvest in our community. We work with local yoga instructors to host a beginner-friendly yoga flow and spend the afternoon supporting small businesses at Kinfolx Oakland.
We kicked off Sexual Wellness Week with Feelmore Social, a Black-owned bar in Oakland, Ca and the newest venture of Feelmore Adult, Black-owned sex shop located in both Oakland and Berkeley.
Black Culture Trivia Night was a Juneteenth celebration curated to provide a safe space for our community to learn about our history and have fun while doing it.
On April 21st we celebrated the launch of BlackWomen& alongside 150 Black women at Coco Noir Wine Shop & Bar.
